I've been a bartender for years, and have read lots of books, but it still leaves me confused!
Everytime I've made a Vodka Collins, I make it with vodka, lime, and a bit of cherry juice. Never had one ounce of a complaint...although it does not appear in any book I've read, most give other recipes. How do I make a top notch Tom Collins/vodka Collins.
Gimme ideas, gimme gimme. Thanks! |

Tending for 20+ years and i have always made a collins with sweet/sour mix, a hit of simple syrup add the alcohol, mix (or shake) frosted glass with a touch of 7up or whateve clear pop you have on hand.
back in the day, i always added foamy head to get the nice foam on top but nowadays it's in the mix.
good luck |

Not the original recipe but one most of the clubs around here use;
1oz measure of vodka
2oz Sweet and Sour
Shake and pour into a tall glass of ice
Top with equal parts soda & 7-up
garnish with a flag |
