Ok, I am having this somewhat large get together next month and need to start planning. I want to do something different then what we normally drink. This is the normal stuff we pick up:
Smirff Vodka
Kahlua
Smirff Green Apple Twist
Everclear
Captain Morgan
Sky Blue ( for the light weighs)
And then we also get :
Hawaiian Punch
Oragne Juice
Sprite
Coke
By the way we are college students just starting out and learning. Any ideas? |

Alrighty heres my list of you can make a bunch of drinks with these items list.
For juices try buying pineapple, cranberry, sour mix, and lime slices. Those are two of the best ingredients into mixing fruity drinks.
Tequilla(good for shots)
Peach Schnapps
Blue Curacao (gives them cool colors)
Midori
Most of those drinks can be mixed with many of the items you have already and additional items. Good luck with the party. Any more questions feel free to ask (right now im in a rush trying to get to work so posting fast). I'm sure I'll be back tonight and give you some neat ideas. |

Billa is right - definitely go with the Pineapple and Cranberry juices. Cranberry is excellent for vodka/gin drinks like martinis and highballs and pineapple goes well with liqueurs.
I would highly suggest picking up some Jagermeister and giving the "Surfer on Acid" a try, in highball or shot form.... very tasty... also search for "redheaded slut #2"... another excellent choice... |

| That sounds like a good idea. I think I am going to attempt to play bar tender for alot of my friends so they will try new things. They normally tend to stay with old things that they have already had. |

Summer here and some neat drink recipes are listed below. I mostly make up pitchers, as I don't like to get stuck mixing drinks on an individual basis.
No Name Drink
1 1/2 Cups Water
1/2 Cup Sugar
Mix together in pan and boil for 7-8 minutes. Cool.
1 - 6 oz can Frozen Orange Juice
1 - 6 oz can Frozen Limeade
1 to 1 1/2 Cups Rum, or Vodka or Brandy or Bourbon or your favorite liquor.
1. Mix juices and liquor in large bowl. Pour sugar syrup over above, stir. Pour into 3 qt container. Freeze approx 24 hours.
2. Scoop into glasses filling approx 1/2 full or to taste. Pour Ginger Ale or 7-up on top. Enjoy!
Note: Keeps in refrigerator forever. I usually double recipe.
2 -4 - 6 (Marqueritas)
2 oz Frozen Limeade
4 oz Triple Sec
6 oz Tequilla
1. Fill Blender with ice, pour in above and blend to slushy, can also add fruit for flavored marqueritas).
NOTE: To serve a crowd, double or triple above and pour into a pitcher. When you need refills, add 12 oz of the above mixture to blender full of ice.
SHOOTERS
B-52
1/2 oz Kaluaha
1/2 oz Baileys Irish Cream
1/2 oz Grand Mariner
1. Pour in order given, layer over spoon. and let someone decide where you are gonna fly to (B-52 airplane) and SLAM! |
