Does anyone know any history behind Goldschläger? All I can find out about it is that it comes from Switzerland. Diageo's web site sucks too, all they say is that it's their top selling schnapps in the US... like we care. |

I'm not going to be of much help either but I have seen it. It comes in a clear bottle shaped somewhat like that of Grand Marnier, the contents is clear with flakes of gold gilt inside. It looks pretty cool but I've never tried it. I'll see if I can get more info from my friendly local Government Liquor Store. |

Thanks for the posts guys... I actually already saw those sites and I was hoping that someone might have some "inside" info, like who makes it (not just Diageo), how they get the gold in there, all that kind of neat stuff. I think I'll email around and see if I can't get a company rep to let me in on it, although I'm not holding out much hope. |

| I don't know how much this will help but it is made in Switzerland, launched in 1993, is the No. 1 selling in the us, A hot cinnamon schnapps infused with pure 23k gold flakes, all this I got from http://www.diageobrands.com/indexx.html. I am still searching though. I will see what I can dig up. |
