Ok So I made an attempt at a drink that I had long time ago when I was in S. Korea. Only one place made this and they called it Hawaiian Sunset. Here is what I know, they used Rum, O.J., Here is what I'm not sure on I think that they added Pineapple juice and grenedine maybe something else. The drink was served in a tall glass and was lighter in color at the top and got darker near the bottom.
Ok so here was my attempt at this I mixed all the above ingredients but instead of having this lighter to darker feature it was all a dark orange color. The taste was close to what I had in S. Korea. But again I do not know if I added everything
I looked on Drinknation hoping I could find a recipie that was at least close to it and I could not find anything. Hawaiian Island Sunset is not what I had.
My question is can anyone give me advice on something that was probably made in only one spot in the world and maybe tell me how I could gain this attribute of lighter to darker in the drink with out turning the whole thing dark orange? I tried to watch the Bartender make it but he always turned his back after the the O.J and Rum was poured and I did ask but he would not tell me Thanks in advanced
BTW here is how I made it
1 oz Rum
1/2 oz grenedine
fill half with O.J.
Fill Half with Pineapple Juice
Mixed well turned Dark Orange
