| Anyone else a fan of football? Who’s your team? I like the Raiders, but also other teams. I’ve been thinking about signing up for some sort of sports package, anyone got one to recommend? I like the commercials for the DirectTV one with that crochety old dude, see if I can find ‘em online… yeah: www.heybuttercup.com suppose it’s silly to sign up for a service cuz you like the commercial, but it looks good. Anyone have it? |

Big football fans here. You should check out a really cool podcast I read about : search-Raidercast. Its a podcast completely devoted to the Raiders. Hope you enjoy! And good luck this season. We both have shitty teams over on this end. One with the damned bills and the other with the damned redskins. BTW-Hear the direct TV package is WORTH the money!
Check out our show if you ever get a chance(Warning: Show is loads of liquor drinking and alot of explicit language and content):

Awesome, thanks for the raidercast info! That was sweet! I liked your show a lot too. Drinking and sports, two great things that go great together.
i think I am going to get the superfan package after all. I did the math on the price for that and sundayticket and even regular directv service combined I still would spend less money than I do at sports bars, plus could afford to drink more and have better snacks. So, yah, I think I'm gonna do it. If anyone knows how they manage the audio for the 8 games on 1 screen thing (silent? a mix?) let me know. |

| no prob on the raidercast info! there must be some sort of option on the screen to make one of the games the dominant one in which you will hear its audio. let me know how it works out. so gotta ask? do you think palmer and the bengals are going all the way? or do you think they will come out swinging like the colts did last year and get stage fright near the end? |

The latter. I'm not betting on them. It's too early to tell, really, but I just thing it's TOO strong a start for them to hold it up.
You're right about the option, I called directv and they said there's a cursor. High tech. I also realized through talking to them that the only way to get HD football from directv is the superfan package, so that clinches it. |
