Hey Everyone,
I am new to this forum, and I have an important question for you all. What foods do you eat to cure a hangover? Now this could be before or during the night when you get your drink on, or the morning after it hits. Whatever the case may be. I am just curious to see what foods work for a little research project I am doing. Thanks and cheers! |

This goes back to my college days and I have never found a better hangover remedy: 7-Up. Not diet or Squirt or any other lemon-lime soda. Plain old 7-Up. On an empty stomach. Don't guzzle it but don't nurse it either. Drink a 12 oz can or a tall glass over the course of about 15-20 minutes. It doesn't magically cure the hangover, but it eases the symptoms enough that you'll be functional in a lot less time than by doing nothing or stuffing yourself with heavier remedies.

What works for me is to eat something and have a glass of either whatever 2 liter around with the exception of pepsi max since its an energy cola. When I do that usually once maybe twice out of 10 times will I have a raging headache the next morning. A friend of mine who drinks a lot says he drinks a cup of his urine after he placed it in the freezer for 20 minutes but I don't want to go down that road.

Oh man I wouldn't want to go down that road too! Thanks. I notice a lot of drink replies, but what about foods do you think work?

I would say something greasy. I don't much get hangovers myself guess I am lucky. However it would seem if you eat something think and greasy during the night or in the morning it can help. I always tend to have a bottle or glass of water next to my bed at night.

I agree after hangover I say you can go two ways: One mexican and don't be afraid to have a margarite. Two burger and fries.

I have found one thing that works for me: Gatorade. If I know I'll be drinking a bit, I'll guzzle a big bottle of it, along with a multi-vitamin, if I have one to hand. Or, if I've had enough, and want to prevent a hangover, I'll drink some Gatorade every now and then until bedtime, and if I get up in the middle of the night, drink some then, as well.
