| I heard rumors going around about being able to make home made kahlua, but wasn't sure if it would actually turn out right. I did a search on the internet but something just doesn't seem right. Has anyone ever made any before or know how? |

| Never quite heard of anything like that. Then again I never really got into the art of creating stuff at home. I'll ask a couple of my friends(whackos that they are) to see if they have. I'll keep you posted but don't hold your breath I don't think it would be a good duplication even if you were able to get a decent recipie. |

I have had homemade Kahlua before, and it was pretty good!
I don't know the recipe that was used in the bottle that I tried, but I will see if I can find out. |

I make THE BEST Kahlua!! It's very easy and soooo good. This recipe makes 5 fifths:
10 cups of water
10 cups of sugar
4 ounces instant coffee (not granules)
2-4 ounces pure vanilla
2 fifths of Everclear
Bring the water and sugar to a boil, just long enough to melt the sugar. Add the instant coffee and vanilla. Let cool to room temperature and then add the Everclear (if you add the alcohol before it cools, it will evaporate, and you don't want that to happen. Pour into whatever bottles you like and enjoy!!
I also have a recipe for homemake Bailey's Irish Cream if anyone is interested. |

6 cups sugar
1/2 gallon water (8 cups)
1/2 gallon vodka
12 tsp Instant coffee
8 teaspoons vanilla
4 teaspoons choc. (like nesquick)
Boil water and sugar (cooking a little longer will give a thicker consistancy. add coffee, vanilla and chocolate when cooled add vodka. Now here's the trick let sit 90 days. I have never made it to the ninety days..and it still taste really good.I also use the empty vodka bottle for storage. Good Luck and enjoy. |
