I was thinking. Why not have some sort of chat thingie? Like either a website java chat or perhaps you should register a channel on say irc. That would be pretty cool.

Personally the irc thing I think would be a GREAT idea in spreading the word about the site. Im sure people would see it on the channels list and join up. Plus it's not a huge financial burden on you guys at all. ETG is a pretty good server. I know it's mostly about gamers but you can definately spread your word through there. They have their own chanserv etc.

Another thing I myself am personally doing to spread the word is actually one of my various tags(alias') on Quake 3 or Warcraft 3 is actually drinknation.com. Hey every little bit counts!

A couple other cool ideas would be to put up a game server. Theres plenty of popular games there and if you have the bandwith it'll DEFINATELY attract plenty of attention. Speakeasy comes to mind. They have a group of servers for various games and heck they even SELL servers for a monthly fee. It brings in $$ at a core level and brings plenty of possible viewers to you.

Thought I'd throw these crazy ideas out there. If you guys ever wanted to impliment something let me know. I would love to help in the growth of the site. Alrighty enough of my babblings... Crazy

I'm pretty busy implementing a couple of changes right now that will hopefully attract some traffic, and it's one of our primary focuses (focii?) for the next little bit. IRC isn't a bad idea... we have the bandwidth to do it. I'd love to run a game server (Half-life is a good one), but those take a bit of maintenance and are sometimes a risk as they can put heavy load on a server and improperly configured ones can crash, which is not good when your server is a continent away. Wink

I like the chat idea, as a cool community is definitely one of our goals. Once we have the traffic to justify it, I imagine it could be set up no problem... and it would be a cool way to meet people for parties!

(I sure dont!) That's definately cool that your settin up some nice things to increase the flow of traffic. Now enough of your babbling and get back to work!

Im actually probably going to buy a quake 3 server within the next couple of weeks. Do you guys mind if I put up the Drinknation.com site along with it? For instance the name of the server would be something along the lines of...

Chatkill + Drinknation.com OSP Q3 CA CTF

Chatkill being the name of the clan. I figured I love this site and I love the clan might as well do a double whammy Wink

A Half life server uh... That would be cool. Although I would not suggest playing half life while under the influence did that once... Lasted about little over half and hour and started getting motion sickness.... Laughing

Maybe I just had too much that night who knows.

Seriously though, the best thing to help out the site is to get incoming links to it.... and also get the urinal test thing linked from some humor sites. That would help a bunch.

I've been pushing for that for a while. Don't worry, I'm on it.
