Does anyone know if you can make jello shots with ice 101 peppermint schnapps? if so please reply with the instructions.

I've never tried it, but I bet you can. Generally the idea is to replace the water called for in the jello recipe with your alcohol, but instead of putting it in the fridge you have to put it in the freezer, because alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water.

If you're going to do it with schnapps, there is already a lot of sugar in it, so I would maybe try replacing 3/4 of the water with schnapps and keeping 1/4 of the water called for. Or something.

They're not that bad. If you make them slightly lighter... For instance....

When you add the cold water most of the time for the smaller packages it asks you for 1 cup of cold water. Instead do 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of vodka or ur liqour. This makes the jello shots not be AS strong so people will eat more of them.

At my last party I made roughly 6 larger packages of jello. They were gone within 2 1/2 hours. My friends don't like the taste of liqour so they swallowed em quicker. Well it got em pretty drunk mind you Thumbs up

Yeah another good thing to do is cut them smaller.... I know you're supposed to put them in shot glasses or whatever, I but prefer bite-sized cubes. Shooting a blob of jello from a shot glass sucks....

The problem with bite-sized cubes is that they tend to fall apart as they get warm. So if you bring out a tray of cubes, you might end up with mush. If you make them in shot glasses, or little plastic cups, then they're not as messy.

I remember this one time (at band camp Razz

), we were all at this girl's place and she had made some blue jello shots. However, they were very mushy, and she had to bring out spoons to eat them. And it was still hard... she slopped all over herself and had to change before we all went out.

Jello shots shouldnt need to be put in the freezer at all. It is not the temperature that makes them harden. My personal fav is lime jello with a half cup of cuervo gold.

Here's the no fail recipe from the great wastelands here in Ohio:

boil 1 cup water,dissolve your box of jello
add one cup of very cold liquor of choice ( we use absolut )

pour your jello mix into those little plastic bathroom cups, cover with plastic wrap and let sit in the fridege for a few hours..

perfect jello shots Evil

I've never tried it, but my brother made them in the little paper cups you get at the fast food spots for you ketchup or whatever. That was you can squeeze them out of the cup. The biggest problem I found was swallowing a 2 oz blob of Jello out of a shot glass, especially once I had already had a few. So much easier to just eat it with a spoon Smile

The best way to mix Jello shots is when its time to add "cold water", use 2/3 cup of vodka, 1/3 cup of brandy. You won't have the harsh alcohol taste, at all!! Add a dab of whip cream to really sweeten your treat, and... oh ya, drinker - BEWARE! Crazy

I make jello shots in the dixie bathroom cups. I only fill it half way and you can actually crush the cup to get the jello out. My secret for getting people to eat them is to use pucker. ie: green apple jello with green apple pucker. They are very tasty and go quickly. Flavored alcohols make the best jello shots. Smile

i also use pucker. but i use the plastic pill cups or extra small bathroom cups. they hold 2/3 oz, so you can squeeze them out and throw them away. i also make 3 different kinds (light, medium, hard) with everclear. making different kinds with different flavors aslo makes them go faster.

OK so I am a newbie here, but my personal favorite jello shots I use the following:

10 small boxes of WATERMELON jello
10 cups of boiling water
1/2 gallon of raspberry vodka
2 cups of Peach Schnapps

Go to Smart and Final, get the small plastic cups that have lids and this will make ya about 150-ish shots. Boozer

And yes we have big parties. These are usually gone within 2 hours. Surprised
