I have never seen Everclear in Canada - what is it? what does it taste like? I feel like I'm missing out Crying

Everclear is basically grain alcohol.... it's 95% (190 proof) pure alcohol. I've had to reject a bunch of recipe submissions that were just plain dangerous because they called for ridiculous amounts of it - like "5 oz. everclear + splash of grenadine"..... sheesh Rolling Eyes

For you in canada, Everclear is probebly illegal up there. I know it is in some counties. But if you can get some, my favorite thing to make is PJ's. That stands for Purple Jesus. Usually made with grape juice and Everclear with varius fruits thrown in (like strawberries, grapes, cherries, ect.) Then let the concoction set for a week to a month. and enjoy.

I almost always use cherry Juicy Juice and cherries ect. and usually at Halloween parties, too. It's great stuff. The alc. sokes into the fruit.

You can do the samething with Vodka, just have to use more.

Don't forget the traditional

1 shot everclear
Grape soda (carbonated)

Mix it and drink it.

... I've heard it called Purple Passion.. don't really know if that's official..

Everclear looks and tastes like the pure grain alcohol. I use it to make Apple pie and pepperment schnapps. One bottle of Everclear makes 10 bottles of apple pie and aboute 6 bottles of pepperment.It can also be the fastest way from your favorit party to your favorite emergency room if you are a dumb ass.

PurplePasion used to be made by Everclear and sold in 2 leter bottles in the midwest anyway, I havent seen it around for probally 10 years or so. It tasted good and was fairly potent.
