| How long does it normally take to get a drink reviewed and then rejected or accepted? |

Sometimes it takes a wee bit since the powers that be tend to be a bit busy. But don't worry it'll get approved and what not |

hey all,
Billa is right, sometimes we fall behind on the submissions. I just put in a feature today that has an email notification for when your drink gets added in (it'll send you the url as well). This will take effect for all new submissions (assuming you check the box).
Otherwise, sorry about the delay We do tend to get busy and it takes awhile to go through them all. |

Jwillocks - no beers here. Beers are an in-depth subject to themselves and we just don't know enough about it yet to put up a good resource.
As to your other question, you need to learn to read the culture of where you're practicing. You will often find that there will be drink crazes that sweep the country, so stay on top of those, but there are always local favorites as well. Barring that, make drinks that look cool and taste good, and people will line up to get them, because when someone sees one person drinking something cool, you'll be serving them all night long. |

| I know it takes awhile for drinks to get accepted sometimes but the admins of the site DO have real jobs and real lives outside of drinknation. Some people just don't vote cause they just don't find any interest in that particular drink or perhaps they're too sloshed to vote. I give the admins of this site a lot of credit for compiling an insane amount of different drinks and what not. Remember from what I gather theres really only 2 admins of the site. Check out their about page and see where they really spend most of their time. Let's see you try to submit a new drink of the week EVERY week with a nice paragraph or two with some insanely funny stuff while working 40+ hours a week and maintaining a family. Anyways... Just my 2 cents. |

| Also some people don't know about the vote. *raises hand* I know about the voting popular is that what we are talking about? After the drink has already been accepted? Also I have to give props to the people of drinknation. There website design, actually the entire site is nicely done. They work hard to include everything they want every the public has request. I salute the Employees of DrinkNation. |

Yeah, give us a break opieiii - sometimes we have 50 submissions a day, so chances are good that it'll take a few weeks to get your drink in. Also, editing submissions is entirely necessary, considering some of the god-awful crap we get. Like people who can't put spaces after their commas, or use 20 exclamation points in a row. And it says right on the submission form that we reserve the right to edit your submission - it has nothing to do with free speech, it's our site and we strive for quality. If you don't want your spelling and grammatical errors corrected, then don't submit your drink.
And no, we never edit forum posts, although we will remove abuse posts.
If the voting feature isn't obvious enough we'll look at making it more visible. |
