Hi!
I've been working as a bartender in a "shittybar" (shot of tequila(no salt no lemon wedge) with beer on the side is the most popular combo Smile ,but just got a job in a night club and i'd like to know what is,let say the top 30 mixed drinks a need to know at the begining?

Hi, i know im new to the forums, but ive been bartending since i was 18. there isnt really a standard list of like 30 drinks you should know. its more like basic combinations, if that makes sense. you need to know definitions as well. and dont just memorize them, learn them, there is a difference. common mixed drinks/shots and names of them vary place to place, ive learned this from experience having bartended on all 4 sides of the state. what might be called a jager bomb in one town is simply refered to as a blaster in another. shots and mixed drinks are two totally different stories. but i do suggest learning how to make the really basic drinks really really good before trying to make the slightly advanced drinks. buy bartending for dummies, and the complete bartenders guide, as resources, and learn to make the drinks by experience and tasting them so you know what they should look like and taste like. hope it helps,

typing this out isnt as easy as teaching my new hires in person...

Try befriending a current bartender at the club and find out what they suggest. Usually they're more then happy to help out a newcomer. They can tell you from experience what the most requested shots/bombs/martinis/etc. are.
Good luck & congrats!! Thumbs up
