I have been a bouncer for 5 or so years and i want to start bartending ASAP. Is it gonna be worth it for me to go to a bartending school or should I just try to get into somewhere small and then go bigger after I get on my feet?
I'm a quick learner and don't think I'll have a problem tending. I just need to learn the drinks and get used to being behind the bar.
any suggestions?? thanks for the help. |

In your case, bartending school might not be a bad idea, because you already have club experience. Learn to pour fast and good, the class structure might help you memorize the basic drinks. Then somehow get yourself behind the bar.
