 Post subject: The 7 main cocktails |

| I have been told that there are only 7 main cocktails, and any other cocktail is just a variation of that. i know that one of them is the sour, another is the martini, but does anyone know the rest, and/or are able to elaborate on the subject a bit? Ta! |

Hrm, interesting question. I'm not sure if you mean types of cocktails or what, but my guess would be
Collins, Cooler, Highball, Rickey, Sling, Sour, Spritzer
We categorize a lot of the recipes on the site like that (browse 'em here). The good 'ol Internet Bartender's Guide has a page for general drink recipes here.
