Drink of the Week for Jun 8th, 2001: Vodka Volcano

What we had to say

There's nothing really volcanic about this drink, unless you know of a volcano of fruit juice and vodka. We postulate that the grenadine is supposed to look like lava flowing down the ice, but it's a pretty weak stretch. The juice we used was obviously not up to par, because the grenadine went straight to the bottom. It tasted most excellent however... fruit juice and vodka is always a good combination, and this is a good mix of pineapple and grapefruit, if a shy short of Mt. St. Helens.

Oh, and also, buffaloes like warming their butts over volcanic vents.... we've seen them do it. If you think that's irrelavant, well, think again, mister. A warm buffalo is a happy buffalo, and thus is one more buffalo that's less likely to be in your backyard in the middle of the night making a ruckus because he wants to sit near your clothes-dryer vent.

Ingredients

How to Make It

Shake everything except grenadine with ice, and pour into a highball glass half full of ice cubes. Drop the grenadine into the center of the drink, making a red trail down through the ice.
