Drink of the Week for Apr 24th, 2003: Grape Ape

What we had to say

Drinknation.com: we're like Christmas, but with less risk of coal.

So, the long weekend is over, with not much to show for it except a handful of chinchillas. You may have noticed that there was no Drink of the Week last week, although you may not have, in which case you're probably one or all of our editorial staff, who were too busy trying to manufacture crude rabbit shapes out of chocolate and... whatever that gummy stuff is you make gummy rabbits out of. Old tires maybe. Anyway, we're glad to say that their plan for mass consumption and profit ran into extreme technical problems when a pack of chinchillas (clutch? clique? pod?) overran their basement factory like so many Tribbles and shot hair everywhere, clogging the tire-to-gummy machines. We're not sure where the chinchillas came from, although they may have been specially ordered by us from a clandestine supplier specializing in industrial sabotage. We can't really say for sure.

In any event, the staff is back at their low-paying (ie. not paid) jobs churning out Drinks of the Week, and we're stuck with a bunch of fat, hairy molerats. Or whatever these things are. Hairy old tires maybe.
