Drink of the Week for May 1st, 2003: Hercules

What we had to say

Drinknation.com: We are to buffalo as buffalo is to ultra-buffalo.

So, it's another beautiful day here in the neighbourhood. We've got Rusty the rooster and Jerome the giraffe in the house, and the Friendly G is kickin' it with the big boot. King Friday and X are out at the ABC Wall, and Cookie M. and Grover are bringing you the letter D and the number 3. It's really a great day for anything. Even Chairy and Globey are getting into the action, despite being inanimate (but quite vocal) objects.

It's such a great day (in the neighbourhood), we thought we'd try to make our own TV show too. Drinky the responsible rabbit battles the evil Dr.Iving Drunky who is bent on destroying Drinky's forest home. Fortunately, Drinky comes equipped with a magic sword that he can hold aloft to become the most powerful rabbit in the universe, and a green van that he can drive around to solve mysteries. We ran it by a few networks, but they all said that we had to tone down the martial arts and car chase scenes before they could consider it a kids show. We don't feel that compromising our artistic integrity is worth competing with Mr. Rogers, so unfortunately you're not going to see "Delta Force Lapin" anytime soon. But how much cooler would Sesame Street be if Bert and Ernie went hand-to-trunk with Snuffleupagus?
