Drink of the Week for Aug 1st, 2003: Starseeker

What we had to say

Drinknation.com: If you can read this, it's too late.

Despite our pressing world affairs and ongoing political insurgencies in countries we've never heard of, our primary concern is to dispense recipes to you in a timely and fashionable fashion. With that taken care of by this week's Starseeker, we now move on to more important issues. Such as Mars. In case you haven't heard, on August 27th Mars is going to be as close to Earth as it has been in 60,000 years. No, seriously. You should go outside and see it. This has nothing to do with the fact that you will then be in range of our Orbiting Wombat Deployment Units (OWDUs), but if you see any small marsupials parachuting into your hometown by the light of a retrograde planet, it would be best to ignore them. Mars won't be this close again until August of 2287, by which time you may or may not be alive, so it's probably best to see it this time around just in case. For more on this cool event, check out this page at the University of Washington: http://www.astro.washington.edu/dept/mars_opposition.html

That concludes our public service announcement. We now return you to our regularly scheduled delusions of super-villainy. Er... drinks.
