Drink of the Week for Aug 20th, 2004: Italian Heather

What we had to say

As a member of the media community, you can count on Drinknation to ask the tough questions, and get to the heart of issues that affect the social and economic well-being of the world's nations. Like, why are there no blue gummy bears? Blue is one of the tastiest colors! It's a favourite of children everywhere, and not only that, but it's a primary colour! It's easy to understand why there's no fuscia, mauve or ecru gummy bears. But blue? There's blue wine gums, and blue jelly easter rabbits, and blue slurpees. Can we not modify the assuredly complex slurpee colouring technology and apply it to amorphous bear-like confections? It makes no sense. Orange and green are tried and true formulas, but it's time to expand out of the gelatinous ursine status quo into new spectrums of tasty.

As hard-hitting candy pundits, that's our position, and we're gumming to it. Er... sticking.
