Drink of the Week for May 24th, 2006: Red Lotus

What we had to say

Here at Drinknation, we've been pretty excited all week. Anyone who has swung by the site in the last couple of days may have noticed why. It's not just the addition of our pirate themed drinks, which we're still excited about, because pirates rule. This week, we've got something way, way better.

We've been working with a company called mFoundry for the last few months, in our secret labs in our secret hideout in the old abandoned funhouse. We almost got caught by a bunch of meddling kids driving around in a green van with a dog solving mysteries, but we scared them off with ghost costumes before they could ruin our plans. Now our secret work is finished, and the delicious fruits of our scheming have become a reality.

Drinknation.com and mFoundry proudly present: Drinkipedia!

Drinkipedia is a FREE application that you can download on to your phone or mobile device, and it hooks you right into the Drinknation database. You can browse, search, maintain favourites, get ingredient information, even rate drinks and submit them! Also, it's free. It looks awesome, the interface is awesome, and the price is awesome (hint: it's free). It's pretty much as awesome as it gets, even including that time we let rabid yaks loose on the subway system. And that was pretty awesome.

Your phone would like you to go check Drinkipedia out: http://www.drinknation.com/drinkipedia.php . You can download it directly from there, and then you can take us out with you the next time you go.

In celebration of Drinkipedia's launch, we're also sending you one of our house favourite drinks this week. It's highly recommended by Drinknation staff, and you should check with your liquor store to see if you can get your hands on a bottle of lychee liqueur, just for this recipe.

We hope you'll love Drinkipedia as much as we loved building it. Check it out, and let us know what you think! http://www.drinknation.com/drinkipedia.php
