Ingredients
- 1 oz. Vodka, pepper (Absolut Peppar)
- 1 oz. Jägermeister
- 1 1/4 oz. Liqueur, melon
- 2 splashes (Ciroc) Vodka, grape
- 1 oz. (Pama) Pomegranate Juice
- 1/2 oz. Sour Mix
Mixing Instructions
Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into glass.

Contributor notesAugust 8th is the beginning of the festival of hungry ghosts, you dont have to be chinese to enjoy this honorary drink. The sweet and sour mix is optional. For those who want the drink to be more potent, don't include it.
Background on the festival of hungry ghosts. The Chinese tradition, the 7th month in the Chinese calendar is called the Ghost Month, in which ghosts and spirits come out from the lower world to visit earth. The Ghost Festival is the climax of a series of the Ghost Month celebrations. Activities at the festival include preparing ritualistic offering food, and burning hell money to please the visiting ghosts and spirits as well as deities and ancestors. Other activities include burying and releasing miniature paper boats and lanterns on water, which signifies "giving directions to the lost ghosts". A very solemn festival, the festival nevertheless represents a connection between the living and the dead, earth and heaven as well as body and soul.
The Ghost Festival shares some similarities with the predominantly Mexican observance of El Día de los Muertos.
