I started drinking these a few years ago and just recently learned the name it. Being a long-term Jack Daniels drinker I suggest you don't drink equal around I try to limit myself on the pickle because too much of it and it will mask the taste of Jack Daniels altogether.

I usually drink Jameson with a pickle back.. And was introduced to it as a Brooklyn hooked. Guess I'll have to try the Jack now.

pickle backs (which is what this is) are pretty common in Europe. Mostly consumed after a shot of whiskey, the pickle juice is thought to help with hangovers

What Drink? Its a shot JD followed by pickle juice (not a mixed drink). And its called a Tennessee Hooker because Jack Daniels is made in Tennessee, not Brooklyn. If you wanted the Kentucky Hooker, look to Jim Beam.

We always used Jameson where I bartended. Delish and even non-whiskey drinkers can handle it.

We do this with Tequila and the pickle juice chaser. I suppose that makes it a Mexican Hooker ...?
