So, scientists (one of our favourite topics) have discovered that underneath the north pole of Mars is a large amount of ice, which lends strength to the possibility that there was liquid water there once. We, the expert science team at Drinknation, have known this for years. In fact, we've known that there was definitely life on Mars, and that it evolved and somehow managed to make it to Earth. How else do you explain that guy in your high school class? You remember... yeah, that guy. What a maroon. Anyway, we sent an expedition up to get some of this ice when they (the slow scientists, not us) noticed it about a year ago. We made it back alive, and promptly mixed up some refreshing daiquiris with Mars ice! Aren't we cool? They were really good, too.

As a side note, we did this in China and shortly afterwards a new, mysterious illness called SARS broke out. Ha ha! But we're sure it's just a coincidence.

So for this week's drink, if you don't have any Mars ice, you can make your own generic space ice by creating a large vacuum around the planet, removing all the atmosphere and allowing some water to chill to near absolute zero. Then restore the atmosphere, remove vacuum, shake well and serve. Your guests will be thoroughly impressed, if they are still alive. Enjoy!
