Drink of the Week newsletter: Like Shakespeare, except you get to drink.Drink of the Week for Apr 15th, 2005: Blue Razzberry KamikazeWhat we had to say
So, we had a serious issue with this week's drink, which is called a Blue Razzberry Kamikaze. Despite our predilection for wiffle-bat clubbing people who think that "alot" is a word, oddly enough we're going to distance ourselves from the "razzberry" argument. The problem here is a much wider, societally-pervasive mystery: just where do you get blue raspberries? Who invented this artifical scheme? Why would you invent a flavour, and then describe it using a colour? It doesn't make sense! It's madness! Raspberries aren't blue! Food isn't blue! There is no naturally blue food! Even blueberries, which you would think of as a close cousin to the raspberry and perhaps some sort of maniacally-twisted component partner of the so-called "blue raspberry" flavour, are technically purplish and not blue. Clearly, something is afoot. But the only clue we have is that it's delicious.
