Drink of the Week for Mar 8th, 2001: Voodoo Sunrise

What we had to say

Like a screwdriver, except sweeter and smacking of cherries. Voodoo cherries. Scary voodoo cherries with weird cat idols and candles. Although results are not guaranteed, chances are pretty good that if you drink enough of these, you may start to see this weird cat too. If you do, be nice to it, since we're not really sure what it does. It looks like it's praying, but we held a meeting and decided that it might be holding an invisible fishing rod (this is logical, because cats like fish). Hah hah...we'd look pretty stupid if we told our friends that the magical voodoo cat that appeared to us while we were drinking was praying to some cat-god.

This drink is tasty, and simple to make. If you're not a fan of sweet drinks, add some ice and use less grenadine.

How to Make It

Shake everything but the grenadine with ice and strain into the glass. Tilt the glass and rotate it while slowly adding the grenadine by pouring it down the inside of the glass.
