Drink of the Week for Sep 17th, 2004: Kahlua Hummer

What we had to say

You've probably had weeks like this. Deadlines to meet, errands to run, and you're moving so fast that time dilation and the complete breakdown of Newtonian physics becomes a problem. While everyone else was out there aging along at regular speed for a whole week, we managed to age only two and a half days. To top it off, we got three loads of laundry done while you were blinking. Since perceptually (as well as theoretically) at this rate you can no longer regard time as an absolute quantity, we don't feel so bad about, say, not walking the dog, mowing the lawn, or fighting crime. After all, at the rate we're going, there's plenty of time for that. In fact, we sent this email from next Wednesday. When we slow down (or you speed up), we'll join you for an ice cream drink.
