Amarula Cream

Glossary:

Amarula Cream is a South African product, made from the fruit of the Marula, or "Elephant" tree. The fruits are gathered by local harvesters, separated from the hard inner core, and transported to the Distell cellar in Stellenbosch. A fermentation process similar to wine-making is then used to produce "marula wine", which is distilled into spirit to be combined with fresh cream. This produces the smooth, 17% Amarula Cream liqueur.

Amarula is a popular export, and can be found in most liquor stores in North America.
