Extra dry vermouth is one of the three variations of vermouth and is often used in mixing Martinis. Extra dry vermouth is clear, being fortified from a dry white wine, and tends to be bitter and medicinal tasting.

Vermouth is a fortified wine originally brewed in Italy, created by adding herbs, spices and alcohol to wine.
