Frïs vodka is a wheat based vodka made in Denmark using a unique "freeze distillation" process. From their press release:

"FRÏS VODKA uses a patented FREEZE DISTILLATION® process, an additional step in the distillation process that significantly reduces the temperature of the spirit to remove additional impurities.

... Many vodkas, even super-premium ones, contain impurities that are byproducts of the distillation process. These impurities give vodkas their burn and contribute to a lack of smoothness of the spirit. Because of the way FRÏS VODKA is made, nearly all fusel oils are frozen during distillation and then removed from the spirit, producing one of the smoother vodkas on the market today. "

Frïs is owned and marketed by V&S Absolut Spirits, the same company that owns Absolut vodka.
