Midori

Midori is probably the best known melon-flavored liqueur. It is distinctive, with an unnatural bright green hue. The word "midori" is taken from a Japanese word meaning "green".

It was originally made in Japan from 1978 to 1987, when production moved to Mexico. It was launched by Suntory with a party at New York's Studio 54.
