Drink of the Week for Jan 21st, 2006: Kahlua Peppermint Pattie

What we had to say

Winter can be a real drag sometimes, especially on those long, cold days where you're cooped up inside with nothing to do. You know you have a problem when you catch yourself sitting around calculating the de Broglie wavelength of your dog and trying to see how it changes if you put a transform on his left null space. We had that problem, simply because the demonic ice fog that has been plundering our village of all warmth has kept us inside for a week. We can't even go out to buy groceries. Which is ok, because apparently grocery stores like to index their prices inversely to the minimum temperature for the day. But back to the ice fog. Since the vast majority of our hobbies, such as wombat husbandry, involve outdoor activity, we're pretty bored. Trying to make our dog move slow enough so that we can observe his wave-particle duality is getting old, so we've written this email and started drinking instead. Besides, we let him outside to use the yard, and we think the fog got him.
