Drink of the Week for Apr 12th, 2001: Society Cocktail

What we had to say

Time to add some class to your act. No monkey could pull this one off, that's for sure. Not that our monkeys haven't been trying, you understand, but it would take an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite supply of gin to perfect it. Since most of our monkeys are blasted after just a couple of hits, we decided to do this one ourselves.

For you sophisticated drinkers out there, this is a dry martini with a sweet hint about it. A rumour of grenadine makes the vermouth seem even drier. For those that are wishy-washy about dry martinis in the first place, begone! No, wait, we mean cut back on the vermouth and add a touch more grenadine to pansy it up.

Drink slowly and savour.
