Drink of the Week for Mar 19th, 2005: The Mighty RCT

What we had to say

Making the most of a crappy situation is our motto*, so when we realized that we were being punished by primal forces of nature and there was nothing we could do about it, we decided that at least we should have some fun. Yes, we're talking about static electricity. Not just regular 'ol shuffle-your-feet-on-the-carpet-and-touch-your-friend warm and fuzzy static electricity, we mean the blue spark flyin', every hair on your body is receiving a different television channel, o-m-g-the-cat-is-stuck-to-the-ceiling kind of static electricity. Seriously, he's up there.

Anyway, we're making the most of it. We've managed to set up enough wire along our hallway to amplify the field to such a level that we can accelerate charged objects through it and out the front door at surprising velocities. The cat wandered into it, but don't worry, since he was on the roof he was just propelled into the doorjamb and didn't get outside.

So that and a few drinks is keeping us amused this week. So as always, here's your recipe.

(* Actually, this is our secondary motto. Our real motto is top secret, contains hydroflouric acid, and has been known to attract elephants.)
