Drink of the Week for Oct 5th, 2006: Temptation Island
What we had to say
Well, well, well.
Look who it is. Our old friend and reader of Drink of the Week. You never call, and you never write. Well, ok, some of you wrote. And we've got good news for you. We're back!
Yes, the long, thirsty draught is over. The summer where Drink of the Week vanished without much of an explanation, and for weeks on end. You probably wondered if we were seeing other mailing lists on the side, or if we considered it just a fling and had moved on. As much as we enjoy blaming people for things, usually things they have nothing to do with, we can't blame you for this. Suffice to say, we missed you, and also that good-looking co-worker of yours. We can't tell you why we were gone, because that would violate some laws of physics, and it's likely that your brain, or the brains of those around you, might explode juicily. That's kind of gross, and we don't want to get any brain juice on us, so we're keeping silent. Nonetheless, we're back.
So, here's the sit-rep. We're behind on drink recipe submissions (way behind), we've got a sweet product review coming up for the site, and we want you to download our free mobile application (Drinkipedia) for your phone (or "mobile device"), because it's free, and you can look up drink recipes on it. We're all over the first one (submissions), the second one will be a delicious new feature at Drinknation.com (product reviews), and the third one (Drinkipedia) is just cool, and you should get it: http://www.drinknation.com/drinkipedia.php
You will see us again very shortly. We have some drinks to make.
